10L Banjos

The 10L model is inspired by the banjos E.J. Cubley made for Lyon and Healy in the latter 1880’s. This is the model which originated the “butterfly” shoes. The 10L is also my attempt to make a nicer student model that is 95% handmade.

The 10L comes strung with Chris Sands nylon banjo strings. They can be tuned up to A and D, and can even be played with a pick. This banjo is designed as a clawhammer banjo, played in standard G,C,A and D tunings. They can hold their own in a jam.
