Banjo #334

This is an 11" 24 hook model banjo with a Birdseye maple rim and a lightly figured walnut neck. This banjo is one of the first to get the new hex shoes that fit into a wide round base. This helps keep the shoe from digging into the rim from the hook pressure.

The P stamped under the number on the dowel stick indicates that this is a personal banjo that I made for myself. However, with a son in school and an aging van, I only owned this banjo for 3 weeks. This banjo is now headed to Port Lavaca, Texas.
